This page describes the editorial standards Tamara News applies to every article we publish, and how we handle sourcing, disclosure and conflicts of interest.
Sourcing
Every factual claim in a Tamara News article is traced to a source we actually reviewed: a government announcement, a company’s own published materials, a court filing, or reporting from an established news outlet, which we cite and link to directly. We do not publish unsourced statistics or claims we cannot verify. If a detail cannot be confirmed, we omit it rather than guess.
Attribution
When a claim rests on an interested party’s own account rather than an independently verified fact, we attribute it as such (“the company said,” “according to its own statement”) rather than stating it as settled fact.
Use of AI-assisted tools
Tamara News uses AI-assisted tools as part of our research and drafting process, alongside original source review. Every article is reviewed against these editorial standards before publication. We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, sources or statistics, and any AI-assisted draft is checked against the original sources it cites before it goes live.
Commercial disclosure and conflicts of interest
We do not label content as sponsored, paid or affiliate unless a genuine payment, affiliate arrangement or ownership relationship exists. When one does, we disclose it clearly in the opening lines of the article, not buried in a footer. We do not use vague language like “we may earn a commission” — where a commission is paid, we say so plainly. We never present a paid placement as independent editorial coverage.
We do not make unqualified “best” or “cheapest” claims. Any superlative claim is scoped to what we actually checked, and dated, so readers can judge its currency for themselves.
Accuracy and deadlines
We check every deadline or date mentioned in a story against the date of publication. If a deadline has already passed by the time we publish or update a story, we reframe it as an explainer or retrospective rather than presenting expired information as an active call to action.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected as soon as we’re aware of them. See our corrections policy for details on how corrections are handled and disclosed.
Independence
Tamara News is editorially independent. Coverage decisions are made on newsworthiness and relevance to our readers, not on the commercial interests of any party discussed in our reporting.
